TURKEY AND BALKAN PACT

The. Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, told a questioner in the House of Commons today that Turkey's obligations under the Balkan pact were primarily a matter for the Turkish Government, but, so far as he was aware, the Anglo-Turkish declaration could not be interpreted as precluding the Turkish Government from fulfilling its obligations under that pact.
