(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.)
(Received May 22, 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 21
The Geneva correspondent of the Exchange Telegraph Company states that a cordial conversation between the British Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, and the Soviet representative, M. Maisky, at the sitting of the League of Nations Council, lasted for an hour and a half. No further conversations on British and Russian affairs will occur during the session of the Council.
Russian circles are of the opinion that, though complete agreement will be reached later, the conversation has not changed the situation.. Lord Halifax is to report to Cabinet on May 24. He. also saw Professor Burckhardt, Danzig High Commissioner, and Mr. Sandier, the Swedish Foreign Minister.
