HOMING PIGEONS

The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society held its weekly show in the clubroom, Cnrdall Street, Newtown on Friday. The class was for yearling hens, and an entry of 45 pigeons was judged by Mr, F. Couper, who made his awards as follows: —Dickey Bros. 1, N. Boyd and Son 2, McCarrlson Bros. 3, J. Bolton and Son (Petone) r.h.c, Dickey Bros, h.c, N. Boyd and Son c. Next Thursday the show is for j-oung cocks, to be judged by Mr. J. J. Elliott.

Nineteen sketches by Leonardo da Vinci, from the Windsor Castle collection, are. going to Milan for a Leonardo Exhibition.
