SERIOUS WATER SHORTAGE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 21
A serious water shortage is being felt at Diamond Harbour, a resort across the harbour from Lyttelton. The lack of an appreciable rainfall has forced residents to cart water for household use. One well-known accommodation house has been forced to cancel holiday bookings because of the water shortage.
