The second day of the South Canterbury Jockey Club's Winter Meeting was held in fine weather, with rain threatening towards the end of the day. The track was hard and fast. The attendance was good. The totalisator handled £16,858, against £16.612 10s on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £27,666 10s. against £28,172 10s last year, a decrease of £506.
