VISIT TO ENGLAND

FAREWELLED

Mr. C. R. Edmond, general manager of Todd Motors, Ltd., who, with Mrs. Edmond, is leaving on a trip to England early next week, was entertained at afternoon tea at the Hotel St. George by the executives of the Wellington Motor Trade Association and the Wellington Petrol Resellers' Association on Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. W. S. Lochhead, president of the Wellington Motor Trade Association, extended the best wishes of his association for a pleasant trip and a happy holiday, and referred to the' interest which Mr. Edmond had taken in the various phases of the motor trade. His remarks were supported by Mr. W. M. King (Wellington Petrol Resellers' Association), Mr. A. B. Gibbons (wholesale parts and accessories), and Mr. J. F. Cousins (New Zealand Garage Proprietors' Association).

In recognition of the service which Mr. Edmond has given to the motor trade in Wellington he was presented with a suitcase and dressing-case. A similar presentation was made to Mrs. Edmond.

In returning thanks, Mr. Edmond referred to the friendships which his association with the motor trade had brought about, and also expressed his appreciation of the action of his firm in making the trip possible., Others present included Messrs.
