Another thirty^killed men have been engaged by I#r. JE. T. Spidy, Superintendent of Workshops for the New Zealand Railways, wtto said he was ainajjed at the number of men offering. Employers in the metal industry are riot concerned at thes departure of skilled workmen for New/ Zealand and no shortage of labour is anticipated. ,
A Sydney message published yestet* day stated that Mii Spidy had engaged twenty-one fitters, three % boilermakers, one turner, and one coppersmith fot \ work in New Zealand. If skilled mea are offering he would engage at least 100 more tradesmejn.
