Replying to a question in the House of Commons by Mr. Alfred Edwards (Labour), the Home Secretary (Sir John Simon) said that the Government would keep in mind the suggestion of empowering the Ministry of Supply to purchase and store raw materials from the Dominions so as to ensure adequate supplies and prevent their being built up by a potential enemy force.
