BRITAIN AND FRANCE

RUGBY, May 9

A British military mission headed by Lieutenant-General Sir John Dill, which-is at present in France, today began an inspection of the northern section of the Maginot Line in the company of General Gamelin, Chief of the French General Staff, and other French staff officers.

The British and French officers will be able to continue the exchanges which took place when Lord Gort, Chief of the Imperial Staff, 'visited France recently.
