WELLINGTON BOMBERS
THE FLIGHT OUT
FIRST LIKELY NEXT MONTH
ißy Air Mail, from "The Post's" London Representative.) LONDON, April 20. ' The first flight of Vickers Wellington bombers ordered by the New Zealand Government is likely to be made from England to the Dominion early in June. The number of aircraft taking part will probably be six to eight. The remainder of the aircraft will be dispatched in three flights, one during July, another at the beginning of August, and the third towards the end of September, possibly with intervals of five or six weeks between eacit flight. It is only a few weeks ago that it was thought that the aircraft would not be ready until about October, but production is now so rapid that it is understood that the aeroplanes may be ready for the flight before the men, the majority of them New Zealanders, have been given a special course ia long-distance flying. The aircraft are to be assembled *•* one Royal Air Force station, it is understood, and the men will also as trained there. During the past few weeks several New Zealanders hava I been nominated to make the flight, but no names are yet available. Sometime has been required to decide upon the conditions under which the flights will be made.
