ARCHITECTS AT WORK

The report of the building committee to the Wellington Hospital Board [ last evening stated that the architects ' had been instructed to proceed with [the preparation of detailed plans and specifications necessary in connection with the excavations for the main block of -he new hospital buildings, and that in the meantime the consent o* the Departn.ent of Health was being obtained to proceed with the work. The committee also reported that a sub-committee comprising Messrs. J. Glover, A. H. Carman, F. Castle, Mrs. M. Dowse, and the superintendent (Dr. A. R. Thorne) had been appointed to discuss the question of town planning in relation to the Hutt Hospital with Mr. J. W. Mawson, Government Town Planning Officer.
