WOOL AT WANGANUI

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, April 18. The three .major Wanganui wool sales of the current season have resulted in 73,306 bales being sold for £956,016. The average price for each bale was £13 0s lOd. At the corresponding sales of the previous season, 63,554 bales were sold and the gross proceeds amounted to £877,798, the average price being £13 16s 3d. At the last sale of the season Wanganui brokers sold 22.562 bales, the proceeds being £261,258, and the average price £11 Us 7d. At the corresponding sale in 1938 a total of 21,453 bcles was sold for £291,251, the average price being £13 11s 6d a bale.
