PAREMATA CLUB

Good weather prevailed for the opening of the Paremata Club's winter season on Sunday, and about 110 members and visitors from other clubs were present and took part in the matches. The bogey foursome was won by K. Penberthy and Miss E. Robinson, the next best card being put in by L. J. Jones and Miss G. Usher.

After the president, Mr. E. Bradey, had briefly addressed the gathering, and Mr. C. C. Odlin,- one of the vicepresidents, had hit the first ball, a long driving competition was held. In the men's section the winner was W. Knudsen, and Mrs. Wilkie won the women's competition.
