THE GREATER REICH
MORE WOOL WANTED
(Received April 8, 9 a.m.)
LONDON, April 6.
The Berlin correspondent of the Associated Press states that increased purchases of wool will probably be necessitated by the recent expansion of the Reich territory, and several firms are already establishing themselves in South Africa. Last year's purchases were 35,424 long tons from Africa and 23,626 from Australia, the average price being respectively 138 and 165 reichsmarks a metric hundredweight. Twice as much greasy wool was bought from the Argentine as in 1937.
