STRICKLAND IN U.S.A.
BEATEN BY PASTOR
RIGHT PUNCH NULLIFIED
CHICAGO, April 1
Bob Pastor gained a decision over Maurice Strickland in a dull ten-round bout today. The New Zealander won only a single round. Pastor kept his opponent constantly off balance, completely nullifying Strickland's right punch which earned the New Zealander nine consecutive knock-outs.
The only excitement occurred when Pastor's trunks twice fell about his knees, forcing the referee to halt the fight and refasten them.
