ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL

REPORT

The fifty-third annual report of the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association states that the membership comprises 277 life members, 1616 annual members, and 59 junior members, making a total of 1952 as compared with 2041 last year. There has been an increase in liabilities of £5311 9s 9d, brought about mainly by an expenditure of £4977 Is 6d on the re-roofing of the grandstand. After writing off £461 as depreciation, assets show an increase of £5542 2s, which is principally attributable to the increased value of the grandstand and the value of the loudspeaker system. The net profit for the year is shown at £343, as compared with £271 last year.
