Miss Vida McClure, Wellington, will be the guest of Miss Maberly Beadel, Christchurch, for the Canterbury provincial golf tournament.

Mr and Mrs. T. D. Glover, Lower Hutt,' left last night by the Awatea for a holiday visit to. Sydney and Melbourne.

Mrs. S. T. Evatt arrived at Wellington today by plane from Blenheim to attend the Government House garden party tomorrow. While in Wellington she will stay with her niece, Mrs. J. Ronald, The Terrace.

Mr. and Mrs. Lance Willis, Wanganui, and Miss Joan Willis, are visiting Wellington for the marriage of Mr. Max Willis to Miss Agnes Elliot, which will take place at St. Andrew's Church this evening. They are staying at the Hotel Waterloo.

Mr. and Mrs. Rattray, Christchurch, have arrived in Wellington, to attend the garden party at Government House tomorrow.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Malaya, who have been visiting Mr. and Miss Comyns Thomas, Christchurch, have returned to "Wellington. They will leave shortly for Scotland, where they will visit relatives before returning to the East.

Miss Irene Bell, Invercargill, is the guest 6f her sister, Mrs. W. E. Southwick, Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. Adam Black, Vogeltown, have returned from a visit to Rotorua.

Miss Joy McNeil, who has been spending a holiday in Karangi as the guest of Mrs. Tony Wall, returned to Wellington yesterday.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mac Lean, who have been spending a few days in Timaru, have returned to Wellington.

Mrs. A. Norman Jones, Lower Hutt, left Wellington today with her sister, Miss A. E. Wilkinson, for a fortnight's visit to Dannevirke.

Mrs. Stanley Davis, Lyall Bay, left by the Awatea last night for Sydney to join the Orama, en route for London.

Mrs. C. Stark, Kelburn, will leave on Friday for Auckland whence she will embark by the Mariposa on- Monday for the United States, en route to England.

Guests at the Grand Hotel include Mesdames Pirie, and S. Taylor (Napier), Berkner (Washington), and Miss T. Myers (Sydney).

Mesdames T. F. Relling (Palmerston North), L. Reynolds (Sydney), Kenneth Preston (London), F. A. Brown and S. Steyrew (Sydney),, are among the guests at the Midland- Hotel.

Mesdames C. and R. S. Drinkwater, Whangarei, are staying at the Empire Hotel.

Guests at the Royal Oak Hotel include Mesdames B. Buchanan (Hawke's Bay), H. McGlashan (New Plymouth), A. E. James (Palmerston North), L. James (Dannevirke), H. Gault (Melbourne), Misses O. Glasgow, arid N. "Boyle (Marton).
