ATATURK REGIME DEFEATED

ANKARA. March 26

In the election of the Grand National Assembly, 424 deputies, including 14 women and many personalities, were returned. Kamal Ataturk's regime was defeated. The Assembly is to meet on April 3 to renew President Inonui's mandate for four years.

J. Lawrence, a shop assistant, of 3. Severn Street, fell down some steps at Hope Bros, building, Cuba Street, at 11 30 o'clock this morning, and suffered a fracture of the left kneecap. He was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
