GERMAN OCCUPATION OF CZECHO-SLOVAKIA

WASHINGTON, March 24,

President Roosevelt today proclaimed the suspension of the reciprocal trade agreement with Czechoslovakia, to take effect on April 22. The treaty could be restored by another proclamation.

Officials emphasised that today's action again stressed the United States viewpoint that the German occupation of Czecho-Slovakia was only de facto and temporary.
