TOLL OF SPANISH WAR
We would recommend to those who refuse to believe the accounts of the damage suffered by shipping in Spanish waters that they should study the casualty returns of the Liverpool Underwriters' Association, says "The Syren and Shipping." The latest of these, covering the month of November, lists 51 casualties, of which no fewer than 19 were the direct result of attacks by Spanish insurgent aircraft or warships. Three vessels —two Spanish and one British—were, sunk and 16—all British—were damaged. • ■ The three which became total losses^ were the Eleni, 996 tons gross, owned- by Rethymnis and Kulukundis, Ltd. (bombed by aircraft at Aguilas); Cantabria, 5649 tons, owned by the Spanish Government (sunk by gunfire off Cromer); and Vicente, 534 tons,
