FAREWELL TO MR. ANP MRS. DEMPSTER

Members of the Wellington Boys' institute gathehed in the Hotel St. George lounge yesterday to bid farewell to» one of their former clubmates, Mr. C. S. Dempster, and Mrs. Dempster. Mr. Dempster has been touring New Zealand with Sir Julien Cahn's cricket team.

Mr. W. A. Parton, chairman of the management committee of the Boys' Institute, proposed the health of the couple and wished them, bon voyage. He expressed the hope that at some future date they would return and settle in the Dominion.

Mr. L. T. Watkins spoke of the great pleasure it gave to all connected with Mr.- Dempster's old club to watch his progress in England, and he trusted that he would gain further fame on the cricket field and in the business world. /

The pair were presented with a handsome set of cutlery from members of the Institute Old Boys' Cricket Club as an expression of esteem, and a bowl made of New Zealand totara was presented to Mrs. Dempster. . Mr. Dempster thanked the club memjbers for their hospitality, and stated how happy the various club functions had been to him. He would always look back on this trip to his birthplace as one of the outstanding events of his life.
