NGAIO SCHOOL CARNIVAL.

The Ngaio School Carnival Committee will hold the opening ceremony of their queen carnival in the school grounds on Saturday. There will be good programmes, both in the afternoon and evening, when the grounds will be illuminated for the occasion. A procession will leave the Town Hall at 2 p.m. The Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) will perform the opening ceremony at 2.30 p.m. The Band of the Eoyal Air Force and a troupe from the V.M.C.A. will give items during the afternoon. There are numerous items for the evening programme. These will include ballets, tumblers, Scouts, and harmonica band.
