RIFLE SHOOTING
OLD NAVALS CLUB Members of the Old Navals Club fired their championship series and the second shoot of the fourth series competition at the 800 yds range, at Trentham on Saturday. The results also count for the Hugo Cup competi- ; tion for the best five single-range scores at this range. The standard of ' marksmanship was high as the aver- • ages of 91.7, 90.48, and 89.15 for the r first, ten, fifteen, and twenty marksmen respectively testify. The competition for the Martin 5 Badges was won by the team comprising Riflemen P. C. Coote 93, B. Moss 92, R. R. Chapman 90, and T. Mottram - 88; total, 363. } The leaders for the President's Cup i competition, 300 yds, are Riflemen G. 1 G. Murrell and F. Monk, 237 each; and : for the Hugo Cup competition, 800 yds, > Riflemen P. SUBURBS CLUB ' The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club ? fired the concluding round for the 800 yards series and Kennedy Cup at ' Trentham on Saturday. The weather ■ conditions were good, with a light ■ rear wind, and some good scores were ' registered. Rflmn. T. Goodall and R. - W. Jenkins put on top score off the rifle with 93 points each. I. Kent drick, L. Ledbrook, H. Hunt, and W. , Hutcheson each put on 90, tiemg for ! second place. The leading single range scores : were those of Rflmn. R. W. Jenkins 50, ■ T. Goodall 48, I. Kendrick, S. F. Mci Lean, and W. Hutcheson 47 each. I The results of the 800 yards series : were T. Goodall 190£, R. W. Jenkins . and L. Le'dbrcok 188 i,. and L Kendrick ' 185. The Kennedy Cup competition resulted in a tie between T. Goodall ' and R. W.
