COMPREHENSIVE TOUR
SIGHTSEEINGINM.Z. ENGLISH AND SOUTH AFRICAN PARTY Thirty-two days will be spent in New Zealand by a party of 19 English and South African men and women who will arrive at Wellington, on Saturday by the Shaw, Savill Company's new liner Dominion Monarch. They will be conducted on a tour of the niain points of interest in the Dominion by Mr. H. A. Finney, of the Wellington office of Thomas Cook and Son. Except for the steamer journey between Wellington and Lyttelton, and sight-seeing trips on river and lake, the tour will be made in motor-cars. Twelve of the party joined the Dominion Monarch at.Cape Town, the other seven being from England. . On Saturday afternoon the visitors will niake a motor tour of the city and its surroundings, and on Sunday, after breakfast, they will leave in cars for Napier. From Napier they will go to Wairakei to visit Geyser Valley, the Aratiatia Rapids, and other attractions, after which they will go to Rotorua, thence to Auckland, where the are due on April 2. Leaving Auckland on April 4, the party will return to Wellington via the west coast and will visit many places of interest en route. They are to stop at Waitomo, and from there will go on to the Chateau Tongariro. They will then proceed to Retaruke, where by steamer they will make the trip down the Wanganui River to Pipiriki, after which they will motor from Pipiriki to Wanganui, from where, after lunch, they will continue to Wellington, arriving here on April 7. They will spend the following morning and afternoon in Wellington, and at night they will sail for Lyttelton. After a motor tour of Christchurch they will leave for Timaru and Dunedin, arriving there" on April 10. From Dunedin they are to go via Gore and Lumsden to Lake Te Anau, and will make a motor tour of Eglinton Valley before leaving for Lake Manapouri. There will be an excursion by motor launch on Lake Manapouri, loveliest of the southern lakes, after which they will leave for Lumsden and Kingston, and thence motor by the new lakeside roadj to Queenstown on Lake Wakatipu. There will be a half-day motor excursion from Queenstown to Skipper!s Canyon, and a whole-day lake trip will follow from Queenstown to Glenordhy at the head of the lake, and the visitors will motor through the beech forest to Paradise before returning to Queenstown, ; The tour will be continue \ from Queenstown over the Crown Range to Pembroke on Lake Wanaka, and from there, via Lindis Pass, the party will go to the Hermitage, Mount Cook. Two days will be spent at Mount Cook, and there will be an excursion to the Ball Hut. Prom Mount Cook, the party will go On to Timaru, Christchurch, and by steamer to Wellington, arriving back here on April 25. The wh,ole of that day will be at the party's disposal to do as they please in Wellington. They will also be free the following morning, and are scheduled to leave that evening, April 26, by the Dominion Monarch, for Sydney.
