Police, using searchlights, worked all night in snow-covered alpine passes on the Italian border trying to cope with a rush of Jews endeavouring to escape before Signor Mussolini's anliJewish laws are enforced. It is estimated that 5000 women arid children are wandering in "no man's land." Comparatively . few of them have visas. Others have turned back.
