FEARS FOR GANDHI
BECOMING WEAKER
HOPE OF SETTLEMENT

RAJKOT, March 6
The doctors fear that Mahatma Gandhi will become unconscious at any moment. He is unable to sit up in bed without an attack of giddiness.
A document which is believed to have come from the Viceroy was delivered to Mr. Gandhi.
LONDON, March 5.
The Bombay correspondent of "The Times" reports" that Mr. Gandhi's doctors state that he has lost two pounds in weight since he began his fast. His general weakness is increasing.

A telegram sent from Mr. Gandhi to the Viceroy, is believed to be a "reply to a message by the Viceroy. It is thought that direct correspondence will lead to a settlement of the Rajkot dispute. Much depends on whether Mr. Gandhi's health will allow continuation of consultations.
