The Wellington Homing Pigeon'r Society held a flock race for , young birds from Taumarunui, 170.miles air-,, line. Seventy-nine pigeons representr , ing 15 members were liberated by 'the•■'■ stationmaster in good weather but; adverse conditions were met by-. • the birds on the journey and a very hard, j' race was the result.
