DEANNA DURBIN.
The male romantic honours in Universal's next Deanna Durbin produc; tion, "Three Smart Girls .Grow Up," will be shared by William Lundigan and Robert Cummings. ,They j were chosen from a long list of candidates by Producer Joe Pastenak and Director Henry Koster, who considered Lundigan and Cummings the idea] choices for these romantic roles. Lundigan is the former radio announcer from Syracuse who has shown promise since he was brought to Universal City eighteen months ago. He appeared recently, in "Freshman Year," "Wives Under Suspicion," and other Universal features. Cummings, until recently, was under contract to Paramount, where he was featured in several recent films, including "Touchdown Army," not yet released. "Three Smart Girls Grow Up" will be placed in production shortly with Nan Grey and Helen Parrish in support of Miss Durbin; also Charles Winnmger in the same role> of fattier which he created in the original "Three Smart Girls."/
