Alexander Mines, Limited, report for ! the week ending February 16:—No. 6 level: Nothing has been done here owing to the shortage of labour. No. 5 intermediate north: This has been turned in an easterly direction and timbered under the last lenz of quartz, the face is now 104 ft from the winze; the reef appears to have faulted, being 18in wide and lOin at the bottom. Stoping: Has been carried on with two faces being worked north of the winze, the width of reef in the face of the second stope above the intermediate is 3ft, and the third stope 4ft 6in. The filling of the stope south of the winze is nearly completed. Okarito Five Mile Beach Gold Dredging Co., Ltd., report a wash-up of Boz 15dwt for 126 hours' dredging. The Grey River Dredging Co.'s return for the period ending February 21 is as follows: —121 hours' work, 74,442 cubic yards, for 177£0z.
