The New Zealand Rugby Union's deep regret at the death of Mr. F. T. ' Glasgow' was expressed at a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union executive last evening, and a motion of. sympathy with the relatives was passed. Mr. S. S. Dean (chairman) said that Mr. Glasgow was recognised by - members as having been a good councillor and wise administrator, and they would miss him greatly,' he having worked with them for years on th« administrative body. Mr. Dean alsopaid tribute to the late Mr. GlasgowV ability as a player and coach. Mr. W. G. Fisher, of Lower Hutt, who - has been in the stationmaster's office^ Wellington, for some years, has received notice of transfer on promotion • to be chief clerk of railways at Bluff, : Mr. Fisher is a prominent golfer, and; has been a member of the Hutt Club", for eight years, and its honorary secre-*'1 tary for five years. Both Mr. and Mrs.*' Fisher have taken an active part ir ' social activities in Lower Hutt.
