VALUABLE ARAB COLT

IMPORTED FROM AUSTRALIA

An importation of special interest to breeders of horses was the arrival in Wellington recently by .he Wanganella from Melbourne of a grey Arab yearling colt, purchased on behalf of Mr. T. V. Caverhill, of Masterton, a well-known Wairarapa judge of horses.

Selected and imported through the stud stock department of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, this colt is one of the highest-priced Arabs ever imported and will doubtless prove a valuable acquisition to the Wairaarpa district. By Sirdar (15 hands), winner of the championship at both the Melbourne and Sydne^ Royal Shows, out of an imported dam, this young horse shows every promise of developing into an outstanding animal and his career will be watched with interest Iby all those who are anxious to see Lsome improvement in the type of horse[flesh bred in the Dominion.
