FULL PROGRAMME
WELLINGTON BALLERINA
Letters received this week by Lady Roberts, patroness of the Bebe de Roland Gift Fund, and by other members of the committee, state that the talented young Wellington dancer, Bebe de Roland (Bebe Witts-Burt) has been fulfilling a Christmas season of engagements in ballet, opera ("Hansel and Gretel"), and pantomime, and at the time of writing was on tour with the Mollie Lake Ballet Club.
The "Dancing Times," reporting on the "Ballet de la Jeunesse Anglaise," presented by Lydia Kyasht at the Portland Hall, spoke very highly of Bebe's solo performance in the 'wellknown "Aurora's Wedding." She also appeared as soloist in the "Gipsy" character dance in the "Mazurka Classique," with Stanley Judsan, in the "Fairy Queen" pas-de-deux, in two modern numbers and in the divertissement "Chopeniana," which she arranged herself. The choreographer and producer was Anna Duse.
On her return to London Bebe is to commence rehearsing for a special production of "Faust," which is to be staged in the Albert Hall. In this she has been chosen to take the part of the principal ballerina.
