Auckland. —Four centuries were scored on Saturday when the second series of games in the second round of the Auckland Cricket Association's senior competition was begun. The score of 204 made 'by W. M. Wallace was the outstanding effort of the day. Playing for Parnell against V.M.C.A., he struck up with S. G. Hay a partnership which yielded 221 runs. Hay's score was 106. In the same match H. G. Vivian made 117 not out. A. M. Math'eson knocked up 133 for University. Scores:—University, 304 (A. M. Matheson 133, F. S. Haden 41; D. C. Cleverley five for 80). met Middlemore, two for no wickets. Eden, 209 (N. A. McMahon 93; C. Burke five for 51, R. W. G. Emery three for 55), met Graf ton, 43 for four. Parnell, 491 for four (Hay 106, Wallace 204, Vivian 117 not out), met V.M.C.A. Christchurch. —The eighth round of the Canterbury Cricket Association's competitions concluded in dull but fine weather. The outstanding batting performances were those of I. B Cromb, who made 100 not out in 80 minutes, J. L. Kerr, who made 123, and A. W. Roberts and R. C. Webb, each 98. Playing for Lancaster Park against East Christchurch, J. Read took eleven wickets for 63 runs, and as the result of the outright win of Lancaster Park that team is now equal with Old Boys for the championship. Scores:—Riccarton, 228 (Roberts 98; Lester four for 67, C. M. Olliver two for 24), beat Old Collegians, 183 and 211 for six (Alexander 58, J. M. Ollivier 51, Fleetwood 51; Bull two for 22) by 45 runs on the first innings. Lancaster Park, 183 and 168 for none (Cromb 100 not out, Stout 66 not out), beat East Christchurch, 94 (Bligh 28 not out; Read five for 34, McRae five for 36) and 96 (Kennedy 23; Read six for 29), by 161 runs. Sydenham, 274 for nine declared (Burtt four for 52, Mulcock two for 25) beat St. Albans, 158 and 313 for five (Webb 98, Crawford 77, McCann 66. Batstone 42; Appleton three for 89). Old Boys, 261 for six, declared, beat West Christchurch, 87 and 383 for seven (Kerr 123, Connelly 90. Harper 65 not out; Page two for 34).

Dunedin. —In the Otago Cricket Association's competition Dunedin, 109 (Nimmo five for 41, Moloney five for 41), met Carisbrook A, 115 for eight (Moloney 33, Cox 31 Robertson six for 45). Grange, 266 for eight, declared (Moir 46, Henderson 45, Tomkinson 41; Dick three for 78, Carter three for 87), met Carisbrook B, 100 for four. Albion, 102 and 42 for four (Morrison five for 34, Falvey four for 31), met University, 42 (Silver five for 19, Allen five for 19). Kaikorai. 69 (Groves seven for 26), met Old Boys 180 (Dickinson 66; Rennick five for 79).
