OFFICIALS' TOURNEY
The secretaries' and treasurers' oneday tournament, postponed from December 8, was held on the-Wellington Club's green yesterday." Twenty clubs were represented and conditions were: ideal, the weather being perfect and the greens in excellent order. The tournament was played in two sections. Section A resulted in a tie between Messrs. Schwass and Sadd (Khandallah) and Messrs. Coles and Silbery (Petone), who each won four games. In the play-off Silbery defeated Sadd. Section B was won by the Hutt representatives, Messrs. A. Williams and. J. Davidson, with four wins. The final, which was an excellent game, resulted in a win for Petone, who defeated Hutt by 15 points to 8, The president pf the centre, Mr M. J. Casey, in presenting the medals to Messrs. Coles and Silbery, congratulated them on their fine performance and also congratulated the runners-up Messrs, Williams and Davidson,"* who, he said, were runners-up in the last two contests. He also thanked the directors of the Wellington Club for placing their greens at the disposal of the centre for the occasion. Messrs Silbery and Davidson suitably replied.
