Reports of a split in the Spanish Cabinet were denied today by a mem ber of the entourage. It ; is stated on good authority that the Premier (D* Neffrin) did not seefr peace terms, and there is no.confirmation of reports tha* the Foreign Minister < Senor Del Vayo^ discussed the subiect with' Mr Steven son. the British Charge d fAffaires. H«? talks with Mr. Stevenson yesterday concerned the exchange of prisoners
It is understood that France wilJ speedily send back all refugee militiamen Willing to enter nationalist Spain. Others for whom return means .death will probably be enlisted-in the French Foreign Legion, It *s expected that all impounded armaments will be taken over by the French Government.
