. OTTAWA, February 3. elh concluding his first speech since •his return after an illness, the Minister 'of Finance, Mr. C. Dunning, reeled and had to be assisted to leave the Chamber.

Against the advice of his physician, he threw himself into the debate when the Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Manion, attacked Mr. punning's management of the Canadian national railways while he was Minister of Railways.

It was reported today that Mr. Dunning's condition had improved, but a recurrence of his illness may delay the forthcoming Budget.
