UNUSUAL HOME

LIGHTHOUSE FOR SALE

A celebrated lighthouse home will be offered for sale shortly by its owner, Lord'Beauchamp, who succeeded recently to the title, states a writer in the "Daily Telegraph and Morning Post." "''■'•' Winterton lighthouse, Norfolk, dates from Jacobean times. When Lord Beauchamp, then Lord bElmley, was Liberal M.P. for East Norfolk he bought it as a.bachelor residence, and kept it on after his marriage.

Now that the death bf the late Lord Beauchamp has brought v him Madresfield Court, • the historic family home; he has decided that he must part with the lighthouse. Lady Beauchamp says that they do so with regret, but that they do not want to have so much property to look after. Lord Beauchamp also proposes to sell No. 13 Belgrave Square,; the town house of the late Lord Beauchamp, which he finds too large for his requirements. This house became famous for its entertaining, and many picturesque candlelight balls have been given there for Lady Sibell, Lady Mary, and Lady Dorothy Lygo ...

Madresfield Court will be opened again shortly, probably in the spring, after renovations have been carried out. This will become the principal home of Lord and Lady Beauchamp, who will, however, keep their charming little maisonette in Connaught Place as a pied-a-terre when they are in London.
