EMERGENCY ORGANISATION.

The Wellington branch of the Red Cross Society, in continuance of its endeavour to build up an effective organisation to meet emergency, advises that clrases in first-aid and home nursing will commence as advertised tonight. Those undergoing^ training/ equip themselves with a knowledge which will qrialify them to become members of the society's voluntary aid detachment personnel. This aspect of Red Cross work has been well developed by the N.S.W. Division of the Australian Red Cross Society, there being approximately 1000 trainees organised into units, trained and ready for immediate service. This is the "goal that the local society aims at and, with the co-operation of the public, will .attain. Particulars in regard to enrolment in classes and detachment /work can be had by inquiring at Red Cross office, telephone 52-574.
