INTER-CLUB RACING

R.P.N.Y.C. TAKE BLAIR SHIELD

The inter-club teams race for the Blair Shield, sailed on the harbour, on Saturday afternoon by centreboarders representing the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club and the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor-boat Club, resulted in a win for the former club, by 237£ points to 212£, and Port Nicholson so take the Blair Shield. The race was sailed in a fresh northerly wind, and resulted as follows, finishing times and points being given:— Kitty (KB.), 4h 30m 0s .. 100 Jean (P.N.), 4h 50m 15sec .... 87J Advance (P.N.), 4h 51m 55s ...... 75 June (P.N.), 4h 55m 15s 62J Jannet (E. 8.), 5h 0m 15s . ...... 50 Idono (E. 8.), 5h lm 20s ........ 37£ Stardust <E3.), 5h 6m 20s ...... 25 Innocence (P.N.), d.n.f. ...... 12$ The Port Nicholson Idle Alongs also raced on Saturday.
