ANOTHER EVANS BAY SUCCESS

B. Jukes, of the Evans Bay* Yacht and Motor-boat Club, won the Nevr Zealand monotype championship race, which was sailed at Plimmerton yesterday in conjunction with the Cornwell Cup contest. The race is sailed.by Takapuna boats, with mainsail ' only and no for'ard hands.

The course was a triangular one, of two rounds, starting and finishing oft the Plimmerton Boating Club's shed. The wind was a "fresh westerly. Wagstaffe, the Wellington Cornwell Cup skipper, also of the Evans Bay Club, went into an early lead, but JuMes out-sailed him on the third leg of the first round and kept his advantage to the end.
