LEARNING LANGUAGES
Gramophone records which teach foreign languages by eye and ear simultaneously are reported from Japan. Two records are employed, both of them cardboard discs. One, slit from edge to centre, is placed above the other. Words and instructions are written on each side of the slit and a needle running through the slit points to words while the sound record simultaneously provides the proper pronunciation;
