PRICES IRREGULAR
The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office, under date January 20:—The wool sales continue with widening competition and good demand for medium and coarse crossbred, but with prices somewhat irregular. Merino prices nominal. Current quotations for wools of average condition:—Merinos, super, 60/64's, 13d to 14d per lb; ordinary, 60/64's, 10|d to lljd; inferior, 60/64's, 8d to B>}d. Halfbreds: 56/58's, lid to llfd; 56's, lOfd to lUd; 50/56's, 10£ dto 10Id. Crossbreds: 50s, 10id to 10|d; 48/50's, lOd to 10£ d; 46/48's, 9fd to 10£ d; 44/46's, 9%d to 101 d; 40/44's, 9£d to 10£ d; 36/40's, 9fd to 10|d.
