EXAMPLE TO CANADA
NEW ZEALAND EXTOLLED
OTTAWA, January 19.
New Zealand was extolled in the House of Commons as an example to Canada by Mr. M, J. Coldwell, a Commonwealth Federation member. Pensions, increased wages, shorter hours, and guaranteed farm prices, he said, showed what the Government could do.
Mr. Coldwell urged the admission to Canada of a stipulated number of Jewish refugees, declaring "New Zealand leads" there too."
