IRISH VISITORS
WORK FOR SINISTER
PURPOSES
LONDON, January 20,
Police believe that many Irishmen who came to England in the past twelve months obtained manual work in strategic centres in order to survey the ground and choose the likeliest places for attack.
Many anonymous letters, some threatening and some warning about the next points for bombing, are now reaching newspapers and police, but the police do not attach much importance to these.
The police are working on the theory that a number of Irishmen living semipermanently in England are aiding the plotters, either directly or indirectly.
