LONDON'S SHIPPING
During the week ended December 23, 823 vessels, representing 931,352 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these, 449 vessels (763,077 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 374 vessels (168,275 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included nine meat cargoes from Australia, comprising 545,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton, 30,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries.
