LONDON WOOL PRICES STEADY

LONDON, January 20
At the wool sales 8850 bales were offered, including 2665 from New Zealand, and 7246 were sold. A fairly good selection met with keen bidding at steady rates, but inferior scoured wools and greasy merinos were often irregular ahd were frequently withdrawn. New Zealand scoured merino combing, "Oxford," sold at 15£ d a lb, average,' and 16d highest.
