ROBERT BURNS ANNIVERSARY.

— - .» The Wellington Burns Club will hold an anniversary dinner in memory of Scotland's national poet,- Robert Burns, in the Empire Hotel, Willis Street, next Wednesday, at 7.30 p.m. President R. H. Nimmo will speak to the toast of "The Immortal Memory." A specially prepared programme of twenty golden turns will be presented. After the haggis has been piped in by Mr. J. McKenzie, the poem by Burns, "An Ode to the Haggis," will be recited by Mr. James Lothian. Later, "Tarn O'Shanter" will be recited. Miss Dorothy Spinks will be the musical accompanist. All guests are requested to be in the lounge not later than 7.30 p.m. to march in to dinner. Tickets at 5s can be procured at Nimmo's, Willis Street. Visitors to the city are specially welcomed.
