"V"OTICE is hereby given that by two -*■* Orders- in Council bearing date respectively October 6, 1938, and November 9, 1938 (Gazette 1938, pp. 2184, 2368), the Hutt County Council has been required to prepare Extra-urban Planning Schemes in respect of the areas therein described, being the Taupo Riding and that part of the Whareroa Riding lying between the Railway line and the sea coast, and comprising the townships of Plimmerton, Karehana Bay, Pukerua Bay, Paekakariki, Raumati.Paraparaumu, and Paraparaumu Beach. Accordingly, under Section 34 of the Town-planning Act, 1926, the Council is empowered, absolutely or conditionally, to refuse its consent to, or definitely prohibit the erection of any building, or the carrying out of any work if it appears to the Council that the erection of such building or the carrying out of such work would be in contravention of the Scheme if it had been completed and approved, or would be in contravention of Town-plan-ning principles, or would interfere with the amenities of the neighbourhood. Persons contemplating the subdivision of land or the erection of buildings or the carrying out of works are therefore advised to confer with the Council before any plans are prepared or expenses incurred. NOTICE is hereby given that the fees for the Registration of Dogs in the County of Makara for the year ending December 31, 1939,. has been fixed at two shillings and sixpence for each dog registered under sub-section (b) or (c) of Section 8 "The Dogs Registration Act, 1908," and five shillings for all other dogs.
