BIG WATER SCHEME
A NORTH AUCKLAND AREA

DARGAVILLE, This Day,
Details of proposals for a comprehensive water supply scheme designed for the Ruawai district and also embracing the borough of Dargaville and portions of Hobson County, have been formulated by the Public Works Department and have been circulated by the District Engineer,* Mr. R. H. Packwood, to the Hobson County Council, Otamatea County Council, and Dargaville Borough Council.
The estimated cost is £247,000. The scheme provides for a supply of water to every settler within an estimated area of 50,300 acres. The question will be fully discussed at a conference between the local bodies and District Engineer shortly.
