BLENHEIM, This Day.

A fine of £20, the suspension of his licence for twelve months, and endorsement were imposed by Mr. T. E. Maunsell, S.M., on Robert. Haworth, 43, motor salesman, Wellington, for driving a car while intoxicated last October. The Magistrate said his only doubt was whether to send the defendant to gaol, but he would take into conside* ation the fact that the defendant had been gassed in the war which gave rise to abdominal trouble accentuating the effects of drink.
